My Summer Updates : Boston->Cambridge->Uxbridge, Toronto

For the past ten days I have been in Cambridge Massachusetts as well as visiting medical and research facilities in the Boston area. All I can say is that Boston is amazingly beautiful and just breath taking! I love it ❤ I was at the Harvard Medical Campus for a Medicine/Health program with NSLC (National Student Leadership Conference) so I was constantly immersed in activities that were specifically focused on surgical procedures and clinical rounds. It was very helpful to practice bedside manner, patient interviews, and learn more about the different possible occupations within the health care field.  The other main focus was on leadership, which I definitely took from the conference as well. I learned more about proper public speaking and different activities I can use for my own leadership initiatives, so it will be very exciting to put them into use!

Visiting Harvard Med. School as well as Harvard College was also a dream itself. I never imagined that I would have the opportunity to visit some of the best universities and hospitals in the world. It was phenomenal and definitely kept me inspired to keep working hard!

Hopefully I will be back in Boston or even Cambridge for university next fall, but we’ll definitely see how admissions go this winter!

Now, I am currently residing in Uxbridge with a friend of mine that I met at the Top 20 Under 20 Award ceremony, Lauren! I will be here for tonight and tomorrow morning, then I will be off to Nicaragua to build some schools! I cannot wait, I still haven’t processed the fact that I will be visiting the place I have fundraised a lot for the past few years!! And the fact that I paid for the trip for myself will definitely make it even more worthwhile! So I will be uploading blog posts and a new page specifically for my trip to Nicaragua after I come back as I will be off the grid for the next two weeks.

Thank you guys for all the support! I have definitely picked up a lot from you readers and you continually inspire me to keep doing what I love every single day. I hope I can one day inspire you because everyone of us has the capacity to make a difference!
